Brief Description Of Our Organization
Who Are We?
CWO stands for Catholic Women Organization. It is an umbrella body for all Catholic women in Nigeria from the age of 25 and above whether married or unmarried. Under this umbrella, all members are deemed to be light of the world and reflect love, unity and peace of the kingdom of God. The organization is basically aimed at gathering Catholic women together as well encouraging them to utilize and harness their energy and resources for evangelization and positive transformation of the society by fulfilling their roles in the family, church and the nation at large in the footsteps of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Membership Welfare
Achievements.
1-We visit our sick and old members who could no longer participate in our organizational activities.
2-We also visit bereaved members and members that put to bed and present them with their deserved benefits.
3-We are planning on empowering 1 or 2 members to start up a small business of their own.
Achievements.
1-The organization has been able to share members into Six Groups for easy dissemination of information’s and payment of levies. The groups will also be in charge of visitations to lapsed members and other related visits then report back to the welfares.
2-Periodically, we carry out medical check- ups on members to ascertain their health status
3-We had an empowerment program and members were taught how to do snacks like meat pie, doughnuts, fish roll etc.
4-The organization takes care of the priest welfare, providing foodstuffs and some other personal needs of the priest.
Future Programs
FUTURE PLANS/UPCOMING PROGRAMMES:
1-Iba Deanery Culture day coming up in November.
2-Seminar on Surviving Hard times
3-Visitation to orphanage/ Having a beach outing.
Challenges And Way Forward
1-We are being affected by financial status of members and this poses a threat to the organization’s treasury.
2-We have lots of lapsed and unregistered members in the church and this affects our numerical strength.
Way Forward
1-We will intensify in prayers by declaring prayer and fasting among ourselves and also organising spiritual programs.
2-We hope to keep supporting the church with the little we can for the work of God to move on.
3-To keep on canvassing for new members either by visitation or by individual efforts.
